Hi! I'm Helena, studying my fourth year of the Bachelor of Medicine/Bachelor of Surgery (Hons) at Monash University.
I completed high school at the Mac.Robertson Girls High School in 2012, achieving an ATAR of 99.50 with 5 raw study scores above 40. I am available to tutor late primary- secondary school students in maths, english and science, and VCE 1/2 Mathematical Methods, Further Mathematics, and Physics. I took Mathematical Methods 3/4 and Physics 3/4 in year 11 (year 12 level subjects), achieving a perfect study score of 50 in physics, and 44 (top 2%) in methods.
I am experienced with academic competitions such as the annual ICAS competitions, as well as scholarship examinations leading up to year 7 and year 9.
� I consistently achieve academic results in the top 25% of my cohort in Medicine.
� I was a mentor for the SPARK engineering camp 2015, an initiative run by Youth Without Borders for high school students with an interest in engineering.
� I was one of two Victorians representing Australia at the London International Youth Science Forum (LIYSF) in August 2012. Selected academically from a field of over 400 applicants, this conference of young scientists brought together 300 students from 50 countries around the world for 2 weeks to stay at the residential halls of Imperial College London.
� I was a Professor Harry Messel International Science School (ISS) scholar- a residential physics scholarship based on academic merit awarded to 10 students in Victoria, held at the University of Sydney over 2 weeks.
� I was selected to attend the National Youth Science Forum (NYSF) in Canberra in January 2012.
� National Awards in the Rio Tinto Big Science Competition - I received a perfect score in both 2008 and 2009, and was one of the 70 students from across Australia who was invited to an awards ceremony in Sydney.
� National Awards in the National Chemistry Quiz- In both 2009 and 2010, I achieved a score in the top 0.3% of Australia and was awarded a plaque for my results.
� William James Moffatt Scholarship- I was the only student at Mac.Rob to receive this academic and general excellence scholarship, valued at $16,000 over four years.
